Follow the below instructions to create a new product that can be added to your store for customers to order.
To Create a Supplier Product:
- Click + button (top right hand side). Select Product
- Search / Select Domain name
- The Product Type will default based on the type of Domain eg: Seller Product. Change to Supplier Product
- Upload Product images
- Add Product name
- Add a base unit price (this can be changed later) & select tax type
- Add the minimum number of units required and turnaround time in days
- Add a description of the Product
- Create
- Once the Product is created click on Edit Product.
From here we can edit the product, add variations (see this article for an explanation) & other product settings like production assignments & more
Info
- Ensure all Product info is correct. Click Save
- If Show Public button is off, the product will be hidden from public view
- Feature deadline turns public to private once the date has lapsed
- You can add Categories for onsite categorisation and Tags for internal information.

Inventory
- Inventories - Toggle on / off to determine whether inventory is required for this product
- Allow Open Inventories - If set to off this would restrict a customers ability to order past your stock levels. If set to open it will allow inventories to go into a negative balance
- Automatically Generate Inventories - Merchi can create an inventory of every combination of product variation for this product, you can then manually enter an inventory for each combination
- Allow Chained Inventory Creation - Manage inventory of your client's newly created products. If set to on, clients who are selling a customised print of the product will be linked to this product's inventory levels
- Manually add inventories by selecting the Add button. This will allow you to create manual inventories by using all available variations and allocate to a specific location address
- Add the location of the inventory
- Save
Payment
- Toggle on / off the payment options for your customer. Upfront payment and / or allow quote requests
- Allow Group Buy - If switched on, sellers will be able to create a group buy product from this product. This is useful for sellers who would like to pre sell their merchandise before it's made and paid for
- Set the payment methods that customers can use to pay for items. Select each desired payment method and complete the details. For more information on setting up payment methods check out the How to complete your Company profile here.
- Note that Stripe is Disabled as a payment option until you complete the
Shipping
- Toggle on / off to enable shipping for this product
- Toggle on / off the default shipping method for the product. If switched on this product will utilise the default shipping method that has been set for your company. If switched off this product will require its own shipping method. For more information on Shipping methods click here
- You can enter the specific shipping details for this product under Unit Weight & Volume
Drafting
- Toggle on / off to enable drafting for this product

Production
- Toggle on / off to enable production for this product

Auto assign production on job milestone. This feature allows you to automatically assign and commence job production when the job profile reaches a selected milestone. The milestone options are:
- Not Required (default)
- On Job Creation
- On Job Invoice Paid
- On Job Draft Approved
- To assign a team member to production of this product, click on Domain Team > + Assign. They will then appear under the Assigned tab
- If you have a number of suppliers who can provide this product you can select these under Domain Team > + Assign. They will then appear under the Assigned tab
Discounts
- This is a list of all of the discounts created from the product variations
Files
- Public Downloadable - Upload any files that you would like the customer to view and download eg: print file templates
- Production Files - These files will inherit into all production assignments
Components
- Customise the UI/UX of this product by attaching a Merchi component. Browse the components to find one which works best for your product configuration.
Jobs
- You can view jobs that use this product
Chained
- You can view product chains that are linked to this product. For instance if a seller or another supplier is reselling your product, you can disable & re-enable chain functionality here.
